Microsoft Autopilot & Intune Device Management Solution
A solution that radically streamlines new device roll out
With the multitude of businesses and public sector organisations having to shift to remote working, one of the difficulties they are facing is the provisioning of end-user devices in a consistent manner, particularly if they have a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy. This takes time for employees, as well as the IT department’s time – and it involves configuration and waiting around while productive time and resources are being lost.
Autopilot allows organisations to develop zero-touch solutions for all Windows 10 devices that come onto their systems. Once IT develops the SOE and configuration through Azure AD, a user can get any device with a clean (or reset for redeployment) Windows install, connect to a network, enter the organisation’s credentials, and the customized SOE is set up on the device.
Once deployed, Windows 10 devices can be managed by Microsoft Intune. Windows Autopilot can also be used to re-purpose a device by leveraging Windows Autopilot Reset to quickly prepare a device for a new user, or in break/fix scenarios to enable a device to quickly be brought back to a business-ready state.
WINDOWS INTUNE & AUTOPILOT FEATURES
Deploy SOEs instantly across devices simply on startup – all from the cloud
The combination of Windows Autopilot + Intune (plus the backing of Azure Active Directory) allows organisations to provision, image, and deploy SOEs instantly across devices simply on startup – all from the cloud.
- New device rollouts can be deployed anywhere in the world, which is an optimal solution for remote working employees or companies with multiple sites.
- For new device users, there is no confusion in the setup process. It only takes a few steps to make their device ready to use: log into a network, enter credentials, wait for setup and it’s done.
- Windows Autopilot is designed to simplify all parts of the life cycle of Windows devices, for both IT and end-users, from initial deployment through the eventual end of life.
- Leveraging cloud-based services, it can reduce the overall costs for deploying, managing, and retiring devices by reducing the amount of time that IT needs to spend on these processes and the amount of infrastructure that they need to maintain, while ensuring ease of use for all types of end-users.
